Let me start off by saying happy new year everyone! We've made it to 2021...But we're in lockdown, AGAIN!
I don't know about you but I'm fed up and I'm tired of this uncertainty. The devil is waging war right now in this world and it is stressful to say the least.
One thing I am definitely carrying with me into this new year is the knowledge and understanding that even when I can't see it God is still working. (If you haven't already, make sure you check out this blog post I wrote on insight!)
The Word of God is filled with promises of peace, joy, hope and comfort that are speaking to my heart right now and I believe that God wants to use these words to speak to yours two.
Here are 7 comforting Bible verses God has given us that I believe are so relevant for our situation right now. I've also made them into lock screens so feel free to pick your favourite and click on it to download it to use as your new phone wallpaper!
7 Bible Verses To Comfort Your Heart This Lockdown
1. Psalms 62:5-8
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah”
2. Micah 7:8
“Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD will be a light to me.”
3. Psalms 103:2-4
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,”
4. Nahum 1:7
“The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.”
5. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—”
6. Isaiah 40:28-29
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.”
7. Psalms 143:8
“Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
God is still in full control! Don't lose hope, trust in His Word.
