As we approach the final weeks of 2024, I can't help but feel amazed at how quickly this year has flown by. It's been a rollercoaster of experiences, with both incredible highs and challenging lows. But this year has taught me something special - the power of keeping a grateful heart. So, let me share what I'm thankful for.
My unexpected blessings: Five things I'm grateful for in 2024
1. Change
Talk about a plot twist! 2024 completely transformed my life. God flipped my world upside down - new mindset, new place, new direction. Sure, change is scary (who actually likes it?), but honestly? These changes have led me to the happiest version of myself.
2. Opportunities
This year has been wild with unexpected opportunities! The biggest surprise? Stay Lit Apparel landing a spot on BBC! Imagine getting a random call asking to feature your Christian clothing brand on Sunday morning TV. Mind-blown! Getting to share God's message on live television while showcasing our brand? Absolutely unreal!
3. Lessons
Real talk - I've messed up plenty this year. Sometimes I've been too stubborn to listen to God, too focused on myself, and not trusting enough. But you know what's amazing? God's used every single mistake as a teaching moment. His patience is incredible, and He's got this beautiful way of turning our slip-ups into stepping stones.
4. My environment
Moving out of my family home was tough (like, really tough). My family's my anchor, and choosing independence felt like jumping without a safety net. But I took that leap of faith, and looking back 8 months later, I get it now - God had bigger plans and new territory for me to explore.
5. Growth
Mix all of the above together, and you get growth like never before! God's been pushing me so far out of my comfort zone that I've had no choice but to lean on Him more each day. It's pretty incredible when you can look back and actually see how far you've come.
You know, I remember starting 2020 full of hope, completely clueless about what was coming. But 2024 taught me something precious - there's beauty in being grateful for today instead of always looking toward tomorrow.
